Cleveland Clinic announces Luthern Hospital ER expansion

Post by Lori Allen _ »

I just heard on WTAM 1100 AM that the Cleveland Clinic announced it will expand the emergency room at Lutheran Hospital. Why? If Lakewood Hospital has lost so much business here, do they really feel an expansion is necessary? Just some more sh*t to add to the pot!

Here are more details.

I'm sure the local councilman, businesses and residents of that neighborhood are happy about the expansion and understand the importance of healthcare jobs.

What would the response be if the local councilman had announced his intention to lose the hospital, destroy the jobs, tear down the building and replace it all with a recreation center?

In any city in the Country he would be laughed out of town. Except one.

More Clevaland Clinic in the news. From this week's Crains Business: http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20150419/SUB1/304199973/cleveland-clinics-alliances-are-as-hearty-as-ever

While this article is not directly related to the Lakewood Hospital issue, the article does make for good background info.
