If your not here your missing out. Two hours and twenty minutes spent on a single topic. Chickens. Lots of public discussion followed by LENGTHY Council discussion and debate including the attempt to make a second motion over a preceding motion before voting on the first. When that failed a very lengthy amendment with several points was offered to once again delay the passing of the ordinance. More lengthy discussion ensued on where to place the long list of amendments, and upon reviewing consideration the amendment was rescinded. A final vote was then taken to adopt the resolution and passed.
Then for the first time in the 7+ years I have been attending Council meetings, Council called a recess....

Over something as basic as a chicken! To me this speaks to more things than the allowing of hens. How many years and how much money has been spent on this? Seems every mole hill in the town ends up a mountain.
