Re: Lakewood Police Scanner - ONLINE
I've used my phone's scanner app a few times when I've heard a commotion and wanted to know what the heck was going on. Most of the time I couldn't make heads or tails of it. I'm guessing the other times I had a very skewed version of events.

This is part of the problem. You do not hear the caller, just the call out, generally with little information
except, "domestic... man yelling..." You do not hear what is going on unless back up is needed, and
rarely do you hear the outcome.
Also you are getting information on the fly before it has been vetted or proven in a court of law.
Scanners are really good when the power goes out, as the crews can be heard talking. When the Blue
Angels are in town, and during a police chase. All other times, dull boring, frustrating, depressing,
and monotonous. I prefer phone calls.
