Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Today, Nzingha Stewart was filming "With This Ring" for Lifetime Movies at Georgetown on Detroit Ave. The movie is about girls who always find the wrong guys while racing to the altar. Starring Jill Scott, Regina Hall and Eve. Also starring in the movie is Deion Saunders, and comedian, Kevin Hart.

CUT! Again. Crew of 120, 3 hours set up. 5 takes. 7 seconds of film in the can!

It's a crazy business.

Image
With Detroit Ave. still shut down, we go to "The Best Patio In The Region" to film. Detroit
stays shut down for noise, action, crowds, etc.

Inside at the table two policemen come up to arrest the possible husband, cuff him and off they go.

After a couple run-throughs, she explains it all one more time, and action!

Seriously it was great watching them film, and the cast and crew loved the city and loved
the choices they had for food and kicking back. They are now filming downtown and on the east side of Cleveland.

Good work Lakewood, and good work Georgetown and Mickey Krivosh!

Holy Moly, Mickey lit the sign!

Mickey and crew thanks for the great day. I would also like to thank my good friends at WestEnd
for putting up with me, and it was great seeing John Terry!

History Question:
How many movies have been shot in Lakewood over the years?

The only one I can think of is "Fun Size" a couple years ago.

I just had to get a peek at what was going on.
Should have come back after dark, would have been a good night shoot with all the lighting.
