The back up is long, but the water is flowing nicely under the ice. The mouth of the river is open
and most think, this will pass pretty easily, IF it goes out today or tomorrow.

Lakewood's Fire Chief Scott Gilman speaks with Rocky River's Mayor Pamela E. Bobst.

The puddle directly in front of my, is the river just cresting the bank, and running by.

An home owner at 11 River checks the ice out.

From the river bank the ice, is very imposing.

River flowing behind the ice.

But there is open running water. If it breaks up slowly...

Lakewood Fire Chief Scott Gilman, thinks it will move a hundred yards, stop, move 100 yards, stop,
until it get out of the river. He knows the river.
