off of Lake Erie. They answered the call, but had to kill the engines to get the two people
into the Lakewood Fire Boat.

Lakewood Fire Department Boat, before it was docked at Clifton Beach Lagoons.
While getting one of the people in the boat it became swamped, and the Lakewood Fire
Department at that time thought it would be wise to have the US coast Gard nearby, as
they were taking on water and stalled.
They got the boat to shore and lifted the original two rescued up the cliff with ropes. The
Lakewood Fire Department then took out their inflatable and brought the other boat back to
the dock, where it was made ready for the next emergency.
Good work Lakewood Fire Department, cool heads win the day.
Nothing to see here, move along.
