Lakewood Arts Festival 2013.

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

This year the Lakewood Arts Festival was headed up by Melissa Garrett, director of Public Affairs
for the city of Lakewood. Melissa heads up or oversees so many of the great events that
happen in and around Lakewood so it was not surprise to me that it was the most packed
year ever! Of course much credit can be given to the weather and other promoters.

city worker and LO contributor Chris Perry on the left.

Crowded?

It was like this all day long!

Everyone's favorite heating and cooling guy Dave Slife, of Slife Heating and Cooling
working the crowd as an axillary officer.

Good music was everywhere. Here Nate and Aerial play for the fun.

Rockport Observer Advisory Board Member John O'Brien, talking with Steve Barry.
John I told you, "No Rocky River gang colors in Lakewood. the 44116 hat has got to go."

Some juggling.

St. James staying active in the community. I suppose you only need almost lose your
church once, and hear some councilman's plan to make it a brew pub, and you begin to
understand, never take anything for granted!

And between the sweet kids from H2O and St. James was...

Another art dealer.

And the crowds continued.

It's Lakewood's hero, Jim Wooley working at Rozi's Wine House, where he worked as a
kid. Jim is better known know for being one of the people heading up the prosecution of
Ariel Castro, and for helping the 3 women after the trial.

(Yes it is true, no it will not be reported by us, she deserves peace and quiet, and privacy!)

You can see more images from this great event at:

I am sure the other photographers will be posting shortly as well.

Melissa Garrett and crew, GREAT JOB!
