A local Clevelander was gored during this year's Running With The Bulls in Spain.

This got me thinking......could Lakewood put together some similar event?
It could go a long way toward boosting the Lakewood brand.
I think Detroit Avenue would be the best course (perhaps in association with the Detroit Avenue Chow Line).
Naturally, our event would not be inhumane.
In lieu of bulls, is there an appropriate Lakewood-themed creature (animals or humans) that could be set loose?

I can probably safely say it won't be pit bill dogs!

I'm all for running (hopping?) with the rabbits. Of course, "running" is a distant memory right now, (smile) so perhaps strolling with the squirrels would fit me better.
Come to think about it, the neighborhood bunny rabbits run and hop just about as much as I do...

Re: New Lakewood Event?
don't we already have our own animal centric event... the Burning Monkey Festival.
while it's not really an "event" I've always enjoyed watching the youth of Lakewood pay homage to the 80's by playing human "Frogger" trying to cross Clifton at rush hour.
