Let's break this down, Kristen.

Of course I’m not going to “tar and feather” Shawn Juris if he refuses to support Issue 14.
Who knows … the good Ward 3 Councilman may be able to put together some coherent arguments as to why the children in his ward and throughout the City of Lakewood should be denied a thorough and efficient system of public education.

As you stated, you “do not drop by here often.”
Most of us here on
The Observation Deck engage in civil dialogue about a multitude of issues.
For example, Bill Call is having discussions on Issue 14 on separate threads here ... on
The Observation Deck.
Kristen, I have discussed school finance issues with both Bill Call and Shawn Juris; I know Bill Call. Kristen, Shawn Juris is no Bill Call.

If Shawn Juris supports Issue 14, I will be shocked!
And I will gladly post an enthusiastic, “Thank you, Shawn Juris!”

The headline is hardly, “snidely.”
The headline simply states, “Will Shawn Juris Support Issue 14 for Ward 3 and the City?”
I don’t even see a “Snidely Whiplash” reference in this post … until now.
Shawn Juris is an appointed/elected politician. Criticism comes with his job.
To his credit, Shawn Juris never jumps on
The Observation Deck and cries, “Poor me. I’m being picked on because people don’t agree with my decisions as the Ward 3 Councilman.” That task seems reserved for his subordinates.

My headline is, “Will Shawn Juris Support Issue 14 for Ward 3 and the City?” That is a question.
My statement is, “I wonder how the Honorable Shawn Juris of Ward 3 will vote.” Admittedly, I suppose that is also a question.
If Shawn Juris doesn’t support Issue 14, I will kindly attempt to be an example of how Lakewood should work together to appropriately voice its concerns as to Shawn Juris’ opposition to the school levy.

As an aside, my guess is that the City Hall Facebook Page entitled, "Lakewood Ohio Ward 3" and "allegedly" run by Ward 3 Councilman Shawn Juris on behalf of City Hall with 529 "likes" as of the evening of March 29, 2013, will either disappear or certain citizens will be banned/censored from/on that City Hall run forum.
