Lakewood Observer Volume Nine Issue Three is out on the street, another labor of love for
the city we all love, and respect.
More to the point, the School Board has put forward a 3.9 Mill Levy for the Schools that
must pass. I would encourage everyone reading this to support the Levy, and tell your
friends to support the levy. Lakewood Schools have been doing an amazing job over the
past decade, even with a change of leadership, even while undergoing a multi-million
dollar rebuilding program. The schools have performed and continued to improve, no
matter if your measuring stick is No Child Left Behind, or the way young people treat and
act on the streets. The schools are doing a tremendous job, and have earned our support.
Once again, thank you to all of the people that support this project in numerous ways.
