Would you like to serve on a city board or commission?
Lakewood City Council is seeking volunteers to serve on various city advisory boards and commissions. Applicants must be residents of Lakewood, have a desire to serve their community in a volunteer capacity, and be willing to contribute the number of hours necessary for the particular group to which they are appointed. City Council appointments are made at the end of board/commission terms and as openings occur throughout the year.
Current openings include positions on the Audit Committee, Board of Building Standards and Building Appeals, Board of Nuisance Abatement Appeals, Board of Zoning Appeals, Civil Service Commission, Lakewood Tree Task Force and Planning Commission. Applicants are asked to return an application form and any related materials, such as a cover letter and/or résumé, to Lakewood City Council, 12650 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio 44107. The submission deadline for the vacancies identified above is 5 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2012. Board and commission members seeking reappointment need not submit any new materials for consideration.
