Summer Nights

Post by Edward Favre »

Enjoying the open window and summer evening last night reminded me of a discussion last year. Having our windows open at night enables those nighttime burglars and theives we've had last summer. Remember how threatended and violated folks were when they learned somebody was in their house while they slept?

Don't forget to close and lock first floor windows and doors when you retire. Remove valuables from and lock your car. Have ourdoor lights and motion lights.

What about the vast majority of residents who do not have the luxury of air conditioning? With summer now a steady drone of 90 degree days, and not every resident having an upper floor, I hardly think its practical to ask people to close and lock their windows.

Maybe a better idea would be to have a pit bull.

@Grace - why perpetuate negative stereotypes about a specific breed? Really?? Not -ink!

I think he was just giving some helpful suggestions. I don't think he was trying to "shun" those who could not.

That being said, this is when a .45 comes in handy.

Actually

I think the two things burglars fear most are pitbulls, not dogs and the sound of a pump shotgun being cocked and readied for firing.

FWIW

So you're saying I should take the feather duster out the holster?
