Kauffman Park Snow Sculpting Contest
I'm still waiting for that perfect packing snow to fall. When it does, please consider participating in the Kauffman Park Snow Sculpting Contest. Raffle prizes include Beck Center tickets, Recreation Department Gift Certificate, local services and restaurant meals. Deadline will be extended if necessary.
Anyone know a snow dance?

Despite the cold, these little artists sculpted a snow puppy!

I love this idea and applaud the organizers. And I hope it snows like ... a lot of snow.
And if it doesn't snow enough to bring out sculptors en masse, I hope you don't get discouraged so that you try again next winter.

What is it?
If you said the beginning of the 2012 Lakewood Stonehenge, supervised by our local Masons, you're not even close.
And I know, it's also sideways, I don't have Photoshop right now and my camera phone likes to turn things around just for fun. There is nothing I can do to stop it.
How about this one?
Give up?
Snow pants!

Re: Kauffman Park Snow Sculpting Contest
It's official, Kauffman Park Friends has extended the deadline for their Snow Sculpting Contest through February 19th.
Please do a snow dance if you know one, hit the park once it accumulates and share your creative side.
Thank you to all who have braved cold temps and worked with less than ideal snow conditions to submit entries so far. Keep 'em coming.
