How did it go?

All the candidates present (Emma Barcelona was out of town and represented by her husband)Linda Beebe was absent, did well as would be expected by this point in the campaign.
My hat goes off to the Health Campus who obviously realize this obligation to their residents in providing a forum. And, likewise, to the candidates who recognize their responsibility to the electorate to show up at these forums even if the prospect of speaking to large numbers of people is minimal at best.

I couldn't make it to the event.

Would someone mind going into more detail as to what transpired?

Thanks.

Hi Mike,

The League of Women Voters hosted a Candidates Forum on Tuesday night. I believe all of the candidates were present for that forum. It was very similar in content to the Senior Health Campus format; however, employees from the Lakewood Schools volunteered their time to tape the event. It is being shown on the cable access channel 74 (not sure of the schedule). Of course, I know not everybody has cable. I am not sure where else the tape will be available. Lakewood City and School Board candidates participated in the forum.
