Alright Lakewood, I need your help

Post by Missy Limkemann »

Ok, plain and simple, I need your help. Well All Dogs' Heaven needs your help. I took in a very abused boxer girl, we were calling her Buttercup, but now she is Layla (like the boxer). She has a will to live and well I need help to make that happen. Layla came to us in the worst shape, broken jaw, severely starved, broken legs, filed down teeth, you name it, she lived thru it. Well today she was at the vet office. She is losing her right front leg. Yes we have to amputate her leg. She is only 2!!!! That is still a puppy in "boxer terms" and she is a lover. We are trying to raise 1900 for her surgery. This is our discounted price on her surgery. (there is also a bone tumor in the leg so we have no choice in this)
I do not get funds from the Spooky Pooch Parade, I sell t-shirts to raise funds, I have no grants coming in, no membership fees or anything to help. I rely on adoption fees and mastercard. Well mastercard is at it's limit. Please help us help Layla. She deserves to live.

Thank you so much for the donations. Joe, I don't know if you remember me, but I worked with Steve at the one law firm. I was the chipper one who answered the phone (not Pam but the main line).

I will be sending out receipts first thing tomorrow. :)

Donation on its way.

btw .. if the female boxer you are referring to is Muhammed Ali's daughter, the spelling is Leila. But don't change Buttercup's name again! :)

One of Lakewood's biggest hearts Missy Limkemann takes it to TV for Buttercup, for
all dogs, and for one of her passions "All Dog's Heaven."

Thank you Missy for all you do!

Fox 8 did a great story, too bad no link online so I can share. I was very nervous as believe it or not, I am a very shy person.

I am working hard on trying to write an article about Layla and All Dogs' Heaven, but all I got is the title. LOL.
