Gas powered leaf blowers at 4 am?

Post by Stephen Eisel »

Is this the appropriate time for some one (sorry two some ones) to be using gas powered leaf blowers to clear debris from the street?

Stephen--- listening to the scanner, turns out those were City employees. Better place a call to Joe Beno and remind him of the noise ordinances.

I went by city hall tonight and they were leaf blowing all the dirt and dust off the sidewalks and ... into the air. Made me wonder 1) What's in all that dust flying everywhere and 2) Billy Goat sweepers would seem a safer, healthier alternative. The cloud was so thick it was hard to see to drive for a time. I could't see through it to tell if the workers were wearing protection or not ... hope so ...

We happen to have a Billy Goat that we would like to sell.

Maybe we should call the city.
