With the contentious interactions I've been having about local elections and organizations, I am once again reminded the marvelous Gary Rice sings a different tune than I do. He sings Kumbaya.

I thought I'd share mine. I just deeded this to my daughter who will be part of the LGBT Equality March in DC this weekend. I was at the first Equality March in 1979. 30 years later my daughter is there for herself, her family and her community.

This is my anthem of who I am and what I do. What's yours?

Two songs come to mind for me. One is a Yugoslavian song called "Samo da Rata ne bude", translating to "if only there was no war".

The second is a Bruce Springsteen song called Blood Brothers.
