$1.35 million to change lightbulbs and install more efficient fixtures.
$437,000 for new switches.
$428,000 to fix a leaky roof.
and $42,000 for new garage doors.
And that's going to save us $500,000 a year.
Tell you what, why don't you buy the each employee a pith helmet and a pair of galoshes and give the rest of the $2.25 million in tax dollars back to the people of NE Ohio that have to take a cab to the grocery store or doctors office because you can't figure out how to run a community circulator.
I thought the TARP money was supposed to stimulate the economy, not cover Calabrese's ineptitude.

I have to agree with you Brett. The stimulus money just seems to be a joke. I never see any good where it is going. I heard about all this money going to small businesses to basically pay for teens to work this summer! Did any of that happen in Lakewood? None of it makes sense. How much did Lakewood get in stimulus money and where is it?
I also heard there was money for people to insulate their homes. But only if you are below a certain income level. So for those out working two jobs and make all bills, ands pay extra taxes, you get nothing. Nice. Middle class is always shafted.

Drove in to work this morning.
when I crossed Detroit one of the new double busses passed by - it had three people on it.
when I turned onto Clifton I passed one of the old 55's - it was standing room only with more trying to get on.
Anyone here think that the Calabreze will use the $2.25 million effectively and efficiently?
The government is trying to "carpet bomb" our shortcommings with cash.

A large part of 271 was resurfaced with stimulus funds. Not sure if that means anything... just thought I would throw it out there.

Well Jim it is good to hear when it is going to good use. Did any organization pick up stimulus money this summer to help small businesses and teens get a job? There was money out there. I read that Cleveland jumped on it.
