The Best Summation of our Current Economic Situation....

Post by Tim Liston »

.... I have ever read.

This author just nails it. How it happened, how it got so bad, and why it will get worse. As articles go it's long but worth every second of your time.

Thanks for the link.

I am half tempted to think that our political leadership has suffered a mass panic attack during the last 6 months. The other half it tempted to think that they didn't panic enough.

Bottom line for me is that Obama's policy of printing money (literally) is going to make things worse, much worse. And like the Russian oligarths he will welcome the coming chaos.

I've been meaning to ask you if you would recommend getting the really, really big mortgage for 30 years at 4.5% and putting the money in short term CD's or paying down debt.

I'm tempted to get long term money at 4.5% and invest it at 15% or 20% when inflation takes off. Can you have a depression and inflation? I wonder.

All I know for sure is my garden is going to be bigger this year.
