Average Water Bill?

Post by Bryan Schwegler »

Since I've never had to pay for water before the last 2 months, I honestly have no concept of what a water bill should be. I don't think mine was high at all but of course I could be using way too much water and not know it. :)

So in Lakewood, how much is your average water bill?

Mine is around $75 with 5 people living in my house, and my youngest never turns the sink off :)

Thanks guys. Mine this last month was $36.00 for two of us so it doesn't seem to bad.

It's good to have some perspective. :)

For NEOSD "subscribers" Don't forget the separate SEWER charges which are greater than water use charges .

Also Sewer water volume calculations in summer use average winter volumes ( ie assumes summer excess vs Winter volume due to lawn watering etc ) and thus you save some $$$ on sewer portion if summer use significantly greater than winter use .

You have to make arrangements for that in the spring (I think April 30th was the cut-off). It was on the water bill, but reading about it and then making a phone call were separated by about two months, by my calculations...
