AN ORDINANCE to amend Section 1105.02 of the Zoning Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood by changing and revising the Zoning Map of the City with respect to certain property as set forth and described as 14519 Detroit Ave, 14501 Detroit Ave, and 1415 Marlowe Avenue (PPNs 314-07-007 to -014; 314-07-033 to -039; and 314-07-145) from C2 (Commercial, Retail) and PPN 314-07-017 from R1H (Single Family, High Density) to PD (Planned Development).

WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable to rezone the property which is the site of the former Lakewood Hospital to allow for the redevelopment of the property;

WHEREAS, the City has partnered with Carnegie Management and Development Corporation to build One Lakewood Place, which is planned to be a vibrant mixed use project complimenting and adding to the thriving Downtown Lakewood district; and WHEREAS, Article 18, Section 3 of the Constitution of the State of Ohio permits municipalities to exercise all powers of local self-government and to adopt and enforce within their limits such as local police, sanitary and other regulations as are not in conflict with general

I you think back, this entire debacle was hurry, hurry, hurry for nothing. Constantly hiding facts and pushing it towards the point of no return. One reason they started tearing it down, had nothing to do with a timeline, except possibly the coming election. It had everything to do with, what if they get the paperwork. What if the residents discover the truth... Let's be honest with ourselves. These people were and still are hiding something.

Life's corrections often start with baby steps, and I saw this as a baby step into the sun for them.

Let's never forget, that this is the regime that brought us this nightmare and they are the enemies of Honesty, Transparency And Accountability.

This Debacle with all the lies, all of the legal fights to stall citizens from asking what alone getting answers to legitimate questions. Civic leaders and elected officials with City Hall in harmony, to confuse the voters, relay, re-post and known lies. Elected officials helping or standing idly by while "Important Documents" were withheld from voters, deserve no seat in public office.

If any candidate mentions Transparency, Accountability in the upcoming election, simply ask them what they did to help residents find the truth.

If they are sitting on Council now and up for re-election they have but one answer. NOTHING.

I missed him bet he left a door hanger that is full of nothing but lies.

"...a trusted voice that works for all of us"...sorry, but Sam only works for the privileged few.

"...proven leadership for Lakewood's future"...sorry, Sam is a yes man who takes his cues from insiders above him.

"...supporting our seniors"...sorry, fighting hard (and lying to the people) to give away our hospital is hardly supporting the needs of our senior population!

Then I went to his website. Oh boy, I could hardly believe it. Just about every sentence is BS.
