City Hall Continues The Lies

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Well with the latest ruling for the courts, City Hall, and everyone connected with City Hall and the various groups that lied to the residents of Lakewood for years, has decided it is far better to continue the lies than be honest with the taxpayers.

The City of Lakewood did not win, the lawsuit. All that City Hall "won" was the ability to keep attorney client privilege redacted. Everything else is a public record and needs to be turned over to Brian Essi. The only fault the courts found with Mr. Essi is in the volumes of requests made. However the courts never took into account that these were over years, and that City Hall was stacking them up, and not issuing any documents. So after three years of Brian looking into the worst deal in Lakewood's history, and one that was completely built on lies from City Hall and other groups looking to benefit from the liquidation, the documents grew into 27,000 documents.

In this run, City Hall has lied repeatedly, gone after residents, hired criminals to go after residents, and done everything they could to hide the facts, and write a totally false narrative about the terrible self serving deal they pulled off.

Essi gets the paperwork, the courts declared all documents from City Hall are public documents, and that Mr. Essi should submit his legal bills for the courts to assign payment on from the City of Lakewood.

If you believe that is a win, than you must be ignorant, and a fan of government officials being compulsive liars.

If City Hall, and Council remains silent and allows this false narrative to continue, then they are truly all complicit in the worst deal, from the worst Mayor in Lakewood's history. Sam O'Leary, Tom Bullock as you eye the Mayor's seat, here is a great chance to prove you are honest, transparent and accountable.

Issue the retraction now, and tell the truth.
