Remember that.

This is why we can see it is bad management at City Hall. They drag everything out, until it becomes death by a thousand cuts. Had they simply closed the hospital, it would not have given those wanting to save it time to react. Instead they needed to drag it out to June, when others wanted it shut in 2014. Now we still have lawsuits and Public Record requests that will last long past the demolition of the hospital. These people just do not understand crisis management. Get it out, get it over.

Now we will have more than enough time to remember it, as we should to the next election for Mayor and Council. Doesn't matter if it is Tom Bullock, or the Mayor's new favorite boy Sam O'Leary, both have become complicit and entangled in the lies, the deceit and the cover-up. Why elect people you cannot trust?

Which is exactly why we need to fully support the newly-elected members to city council -- Meghan George and Tristan Rader.

Which is exactly why we need to elect new members to city council who will support integrity and ethics in our public process.

Otherwise it will just be more of the same.

As long as we have local elected officials and civic leaders who disregard their public duties of honesty, ethics, openness, and law, we will witness a continuing stream of policy debacles.

Private parties will continue to benefit at citizen and taxpayer expense.

Citizen who oppose this will continue to be harassed.

It's that simple, folks.

I think we can make this simpler and more to the point.

We must continue to support elected officials who are honest, transparent, accountable and are willing to fight for the residents and their rights to know and understand what is going on in City Government, at City Hall past, present and future.

To do anything else is anti-Lakewood, and against the best interest of the residents and the city.

To back elected officials that are not honest, is insane.

To back officials that are not transparent, is foolhardy.

To back officials that are not transparent, is both insane and foolhardy.

To back officials not willing to fight for our right to know and understand will be the death of Lakewood.
