That's odd.

The new LGBT facility will be open in a few weeks and they have no answers to a few simple questions.

The Clinic has charged as much as $3,000 in facility fees for treatment of an injured foot:

https://www.cleveland.com/healthfit/ind ... _fees.html

How much are the facility fees at the new LGBT facility?

What services will be provided?

The most annoying and frustrating and confusing part of the whole hospital fiasco is the lack of planning. The small group that made the decision to transfer City assets to the Cleveland Clinic and private foundations didn't give any thought at all to what comes after.

The Clinic will use cash provided by the City of Lakewood to build a small medical office building on Detroit and Belle.

Why not a urgent care clinic along side the stand alone emergency room?

Why not publish facility fee rates?

Why not publish a list of guaranteed services?

The only real guaranteed service is the LGBT portion of the services. I suspect that was thrown in at the last minute to purchase support or silence; either one would do.

Bill

I was offered a walk through of the new Family Health Center which I accepted and pointed out they had not answered my email.

Jenna apologized immediately and answered right there. I said please text it to me and she did.

There will be no surgeries at the Lakewood Family Health Center, everywhere it said surgery marketing meant "Pre-Surgery" and "Post Surgery." All surgeries will happen at the appropriate CCF Location.

We then went on the tour of the Lakewood Family Health Center, it is not a hospital but it is what Mayor Summers bargained for.

What should have been said (since Day One) is: “health care delivery” is changing.

So saying SURGERY is just marketing?

That makes me feel real confident.

I guess it’s like saying it’s an emergency room. Is that just marketing?

From Emergency Services...

Less than 30% of the patients transported by LFD are admitted to the hospital most are treated and released from the ER. That means most of the patients transported by LFD could be successfully cared for at Lakewood and there would not be a transfer out.

There have been patients we took to Lakewood based on the symptoms being minor that were quickly treated and it was determined they needed to be transported elsewhere when those cases were brought to our attention LFD waived the bill so there was no double transport fee
