Bear Spotted In Metro Parks Lakewood - Photos!

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

While driving back to Lakewood through Metro Parks, just west of the farthest south/west area of Lakewood I noticed somthing strange along the banks of Rocky River in a small clearing. In the failing light on dusk, it was hard to see, so I turned around and went back with camera in hand, and what I found was amazing!

Sitting on the log...

was a totally surreal moment.

A 5' tall teddy bear sitting on a log!

Surreal moment of the day.

Enjoy.

While coming in from a night of fishing at Edgewater Yacht Club I looked and and thought I saw an old friend. Then I realized where I might have seen it before, and while it is not the same, it made me think, "Boy I hope this is not a growing bear problem."

I use the term "problem" at it seem like all of these bears have fallen on hard times. I hope not.

Stay tuned!
