I've met Chris on a number of occasions and like him a lot. He's a good guy and the kind of person who is a credit to our city government. He's also an arborist, knows more about trees than anyone else I've met and has helped me with a tree problem I had.Patrick Wadden wrote:Lori starts a thread that since June 20, 2016 puts the City and the Mayor on blast spreading lies and Accusing "lord Lakewood" of fixing his street first. Everybody from Deneen, Gosetti, Bridget then pile on with the snark. Fast forward to today and Chris Perry ( who I have never met and do not know) comes on here and lays to waste every single thing she posted.
A couple of quick points on this thread and then I'd like to see it shift to the first amendment issues raised in another thread which are more important.
Lori pointed out that the Mayor's street was one of the first to be patched, which apparently is accurate, and I won't comment on some conclusions she drew from this. Chris posted the reasons for it and they were good ones. Both points are of general interest to Lakewood. So I conclude that the Deck has done its job - Lakewood citizens wouldn't get this information anyplace else.
Something I didn't see was a possible rationale for patching Kenneth, which is a major connector between Lake and the west part of Edgewater, and also the stepping off point for our big July 4 parade. If it were up to me, Kenneth would be a "B" priority street after other key arteries.
