Driver Pulled From Burning Car At Lake and Nicholson

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

The call went out shortly after 2:45am on a foggy, rainy night in Lakewood.

"Call into a tree, on fire, driver puled from burning car, unsure if anyone else is in the car."

Police and Fire got there, and car searched and fire out in under 10 minutes since the call went out.

One person sent to Metro Hospital. Kuffner called for a tow. The car's battery was found 100' from the accident, so it is believed the car was traveling in a high rate of speed. Without brave people willing to pull the driver out of a burning car, this could have ended much differently.

Great work Lakewood Police and Fire!

Today it looked like this.
