"Aggressive" Male Coyote Caught in Snare and Euthanized

Post by Brian Essi »

Professional trappers put snare traps out today near my house and East of Lakewood Park in an effort to trap an aggressive couple of coyotes (a male and a female).

By 4pm, they caught the male and euthanized it on Kirtland Lane---my neighbor told me.

I spoke to a Lakewood Police Captain this morning as the trappers enter my neighbors' yard to set the snares.

He told me that the coyote couple had been "aggressive" with people and small dogs.

If your have dogs or cats are at large east or west of Lakewood Park, take care as a snare trap might cause your dog or cats some damage and it could become prey for the coyote(s).
