Do Cleveland Foundation Grants and Memberships Show a Snuggly Connection to Summers & Co.?

Post by Lori Allen _ »

At a COW meeting back when the hospital issue first surfaced, I recall one of the Cleveland Clinic people stating that the Cleveland Foundation may be a good place to put the LHF money. I recall Ken Haber being the one to say this.

According to the Cleveland Foundation's grants posted on their website at: https://www.clevelandfoundation.org/gra ... ch-grants/, these are some of the grants from the Cleveland Foundation that have gone to Summers & Co. members, their organizations and affiliates, or CCF and their affiliates

3/28/14 - $5,000 given to Beck Center for Summer camp scholarships (Beck Center Board members include Mary Anne Crampton, Lucinda Einhouse, Tom Wagner, Joel Egertson, an alleged mayor friend, Tom Fraser who sits with Mike Summers on the board for First Federal of Lakewood, Kathy Haber, and Kathleen McGorray.

6/26/14 - $100,000 given to Beck Center for "transistion support".

6/26/14 - $500,000 given to BioEnterprise (they list CCF as one of their founders)

6/26/14 - $150,000 to Team NEO for "Launch of Core City Program" (Team NEO is where Jay Foran works)

8/26/14 - $78,000 to CCF for "Healthy Cleveland Story Center Initiative"

12/19/13 - $300,000 to BioEnterprise again)

10/15 - $50,000 to CCF for "Cybersecurity Consotorium Conference"

10/15 - $140,300 to Cornupica Inc. (A.K.A. Nature's Bin)

6/29/16 - $20,000 to the City of Lakewood for "residential energy efficiency" (really?)

6/29/16 - $6,200 to Cuyahoga Land Bank for "Summer Internship Host Site"

2004-2007 - $219,000 given to The Lakewood Foundation

2010 - $44,409 to LakewoodAlive for Housing Outreach program

2013 - $52,000 to LakewoodAlive for Housing Program

Also recall that the Cleveland Foundation gave Jay Foran, through Team NEO, one million dollars to spend on international business attraction. The article stated that efforts would be in Europe, China, Spain, and Canada. See http://www.cleveland.com/business/index ... oal_f.html

It is also worth noting that both Paul Dolan & Larry Pollock both sit on the Board of Directors for the Cleveland Foundation. They are both heavily affiliated with the Cleveland Clinic.

No wonder Ken Haber thought the Cleveland Foundation would be a good place to "put" the LHF money!

I'm sure the Cleveland Foundation does many great things, but their apparent connection to CCF and Summers & Extended Co. should not go undocumented.

Don't say "Haber" or you will be silenced (just like the other guy who went mysteriously silent on the topic just one day after posting about the "Haber"). You'll get the memo soon enough.

Lori

Full disclosure, I have received money from the Cleveland Foundation for consultancy. I have never applied for grants from them.

I think they are the 3rd largest foundation of their kind, and second oldest. Like the names Ratner, and the Cleveland Foundation is everywhere.

The have their favorites, but no one is pulling their chains. Possibly not even the Clinic though the relationship is very tight.

James

You are right more Corey BS, it is really getting impressive fascinating to see what he has to say about Ken Haber that has been silenced.

Funny how you call all of my posts BS then relegate them to the bottom of the page to hide them. Either you are nervous, a coward, or I am correct - your choice.

And for the record, I haven't said that info another Haber has been silenced, just the people who say negative things about Haber. Take your time, read it again, and get it right.

Jim,

I did not mean that every organization that receives money from this foundation is corrupt. However, I am working on research right now with some other folks, and I believe we should be able to connect Summers and Extended Company to them, and I don't believe in a favorable way. Hopefully, this will wrap up before the election.
