Across the street from me, kids and parents were thrilled when a Lakewood Policewoman stopped her cruiser right in front of their lemonade stand to make a purchase. Everybody had fun. Kudos to that officer.
Sorry, but no photo.

Lakewood Police Officer Supports Local Business
Nothin' shakin' on Shakedown Street.
Used to be the heart of town.
Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart.
You just gotta poke around.

Awesome!
They were especially nice today at the parade. Answering questions, directing drivers, moving people along, and helping pedestrians cross the streets - all done with big smiles!

"Lakewood Police Officer Supports Local Business"
So much prefer that headline to " Lakewood Police Officer Shows Up At Residents Home At The Behest of Linda Beebe and David Stein."
Linda Beebe from the Board of Ed. So proud of that.
David Stein owner of the whimsically named Cotton/Plantation Home.
