A unique view of Lakewood Skate Park
I walked up to the guys, introduced myself "I'm the Faces of Lakewood" guy and a pro photographer from NYC who worked with NIKE, told them what I wanted to do and one guy says, "Yeah, I can do that. See those bricks between the ramps, You can lie down there." Then i told them about my experience shooting sports and now we're friends. I plan to go back with my pro bodies and shoot some really rad stuff!

Nice photo!
As Vince Frantz has mentioned, it harkens back to the Lakewood Observer's first print edition.

Thanks for sharing that, Mike.
Since that photo was taken...
Jeremiah Hull, the skater/photographer that shot that cover photo, lived on Cook at the time. He lives in NYC now shooting architecture and commercial photography (atticfire.com).
Roger Krebs, the skater in the photo, is a professional skater time splitting time between SF and Japan. We only see him in ads and videos now.
Joe Bressler, the filmer with the bushy hair in the foreground on the steps is a freelance documentary/commercial filmaker in NYC now as well. (https://vimeo.com/bressler)

Re: A unique view of Lakewood Skate Park
It is great that we now have a skatepark. It is fun to go up there in the summer and watch all of the different stunts the young people do on their skateboards. I remember a few years ago when the kids would build ramps and use two driveways to skateboard. It is great they can go to the park now and not have to worry about traffic.
