Thank You LakewoodAlive and St. Edwards

When I pulled up to 2127 Dowd, you could tell work was being done. And even on a cold and rainy Saturday, LakewoodAlive with volunteers was out cleaning up four properties in Birdtown, and over on Coutant in "North Birdtown" as the residents like to call it.

Shrubs cleared out and new plants going in.

Meanwhile in the back, they were working their asses off cleaning out the back and digging up this pole.

Meanwhile over on Countant was Mark who normally heads up bed bug watch.

Overseeing the planting of new trees and fence fixing.

Part of Mark's crew from St. Eds.

Meanwhile up the street, the crews were getting help from the city, and three pretty bad ass women when it comes to working.

This crew was being headed up by Allison, housing outreach coordeinator for LA, Cindy Einhouse, president and director of the Beck Center, and Councilwoman-At-Large Cindy Marx, so you know this group was accomplishing the most!

Even with the cold damp day, everyone had fun, bringing curb appeals to the "Birdtown" and North Birdtown" area.

Thank you LakewoodAlive, St. Edwards and everyone that volunteers.
