LHS Spring Orchestra Concert

Post by Alex Belisle »

Led masterfully by their teacher/conductor Elizabeth Hankins, they put on on performance like the ones I heard back in NYC with the Juilliard School of Music and the Lincoln Center for the Arts. The photo of the surprised violinist (Hannah Salo) was when she realized that my camera was shooting her from way up in the backstage rafters.

It's kind of hard to squeeze anything in here that's not controversial, but I'll give it a try.

All photos should be shot with this lens/filter.

OUTSTANDING PHOTOS!!! :D

Yeah, I know it's Friday the 13th and all, but looking at that great photo of the conductor and orchestra, in that ghostly cloud behind her, I can almost make out the images of my own father, Robert Rice, as well as B. Neil Davis, Ulah Gilmore, Richard Strang, and some of Lakewood's other great late directors and conductors who have graced that stage...

...and wow, I'm not just thinking of them, but of all of the directors and conductors, both living and deceased, and all of the students who have performed on that stage over the years...

...hey, I've even performed there more than a few times m'self. :D

Lakewood High, we ARE INDEED proud of thee.... :D

Back to the banjo... :D
