Just like Bush and Cheney in 2003, Summers never took much risk. He (like Bush and Cheney) only had one campaign left in his career. Summers will never run again, so it doesn't matter to him when the poop hits the fan.

I don't think we can say Bullock has paid a political price. People that know him (including City Council) dislike him, but he has a strong chance to continue getting elected.
As Ted Cruz demonstrates, politicians don't need the support of their colleagues to climb the ladder.

Congratulations, were very proud of you, every effort makes Lakewood a more exciting place to live & visit. On the other hand, there are so many older existing store fronts along Madison Ave that are in disrepair. It looks more like a deserted zone than a destination zone. There are pockets of improvement, but we need to do more, We could resemble Ohio City, Tremont, The Detroit Shore Way Neighborhood, , How could the Lakewood Building Department allow such a state of disrepair exist. I'm sorry, but we could be as inviting, and as much a destination as is Medina Town Square, or Chagrin Falls, why are we not doing better? photos to follow. The UpTown Madison district could be and should be, the best it can be, remake every storefront, every property should reflect the charm of Lakewood, to be the best it can be. Lacking maintenance and improvements are why you attract undesierables and trash. Low rents =low class. Build Lakewood up.....Improve your properties and raise the rents...

Hi Jackie,

Glad to see you on the Deck. Your post is spot on (especially the last couple of sentences). I would be very interested in seeing any pictures you have that you could post. For maximum exposure, it would probably be best if you posted them in a new topic.

Does anybody know whether, after three scheduled depositions (the first 2 cancelled)," His Honor" has been deposed?

He is scheduled to begin the deposition January 20 at 2PM at City Hall. It's on the docket.
