Has it been confirmed yet that this will be the third and final reading and that they will vote tonight? If so, I don't know how the "secret" meetings could count as official public readings.

On the other hand, who is going to stop them? It appears that someone knows someone at just about every agency and that these people are virtually untouchable. What ever happened with Fitz's newspaper campaigning and all of the alleged ethics violation compalints that were sent in? My guess is, nothing was done and nothing ever will be done.

FWIW.

This is just the announcement of the deal, which has been described as slightly better than the LOI.

The Council On The Whole, then the first reading. There will be three readings and one will be a "special meeting" to get this done before the end of the year.

As I announced before, relax let's see what they offer.

Actualy deal will not be released for a couple days, as there are some items to work out, as reported earlier.

A tiny bit more money, more space in downtown to develop, a family health care somewhere in Lakewood by the Cleveland Clinic.

Stay tuned.

As announced at tonight's city council meeting, the first reading was, in fact, tonight December 7.

Then they will have the second reading on the 14th of December, the third reading on the 21st of December...and that's when they'll vote on the ordinance #49-15.

12/21 is the Winter Solstice, darkest day of the year. How appropriate.

Why do they even bother to have a vote? All of them are supposed to be taking care of us and our city. How appropriate, they wait until 4 days before Christmas to tell us that this is it. Since it appears that council and Summers have no morals or any sense, I am sure that the Lord's Birthday is trivial in their minds. They should be confessing their sins of this seemingly corrupt deal to God. Summers is not God, even though he himself and council may think he is. I did not really intend make this about religion, however, here a few of the Ten Commandments for Summers and council to keep in mind:

1. You shall have no other Gods before me.
2. You shall not make idols.
3. You shall not steal.
4. You shall not covet.

As council and Summers sit down with their families and friends for Christmas Dinner, I ask that they think about the workers that they themselves will be putting out of work at Lakewood Hospital.
