It is a shame that someone had to lose their life. This area has been known for trouble for quite some time now. I believe this is the same apartment building where the two year old boy was sexually molested last March. ( Another crime that our Mayor tried to hide from us ). You can pretty well drive by this alley anytime and see drug deals going down. I believe this makes murder #5 for the year with at least two of these being drug related. Although yes, the hospital ordeal is important, even more so is the rampant and increasing problems in Lakewood with drugs. There will be no need for a hospital if the town is destroyed by drug lords and people flee. Citizens living here also need to realize that while they are fixated on saving the hospital, their city is literally falling apart around them and they appear to not notice.

I have been following this case closely via the online case docket. It appears that the defendant's attorney has filed a motion to evaluate competency to stand trial.

Should be interesting.
