Out Of Town Donations Fuel Summers Campaign

Post by Bill Call »

About 64% of the Mayors donations reported on his last campaign report came from out of towners.

I suspect that the report due after the election will show even more out of town money. What are the buying?

Even more is pouring in from non-Lakewood sources.

We are being hoodwinked by people who want to direct and control what happens here and who have no qualms bringing down our city to serve their agenda. It's time to say NO!

Stand together for your city. Vote SKINDELL and let's get back to making Lakewood all it can be, and all that WE want, NOT what outsiders tell us we can have.

Notice a pattern of where most of his local donations come from?

For a local mayor's race? This isn't the marijuana issue!

My god, you have to ask, WHY? What's in it for them? That tells you all you need to know.

The Toledo area? Could this be Marci Kaptor? Isn't she endorsing Summers? If she seeks re-election, remember this and vote against her.

Nickie Antonio endorsed Michael Skindell in spite of pressure not to endorse him. I've always voted for her but I really admire her more so than ever for doing what's best for Lakewood and not letting herself be strong armed.

Read her glowing endorsement here:

That's a futile gesture.
Like almost every one of the 435 Congressional reps, Kaptur is bulletproof.
This district was drawn by the state GOP to keep Lakewood powerless.
They went after Kucinich and took him out.

The district was drawn to be overwhelmingly Democratic, so no Republican can win.
No Cuyahoga Dem can beat Kaptur because the district is majority Toledo.
Even if Kaptur steps down, she will be replaced by another Lucas County person.

To put it bluntly, Lakewood is like the District of Columbia. We have no Congressional rep.

Can you pull up the map of donations for Skindell? I'm curious how it compares to Summers map.

Patrick,

Can you pull up the maps and names of the donations to Build Lakewood? I'm curious how it compares to the Summers map and list.

I can't. Just wanted to compare maps. I am out of town on business in Houston and can't find it. Is this on the county website?
