for clearing your sidewalks!
While on my morning run today, I was happy to see how many people and businesses had cleared snow from their sidewalks to make them passable for pedestrians.
My neighbors all the way down St. Charles had taken care of their own and others' sidewalks. Even sidewalks along Franklin were cleared (all the way to the street), a task made more difficult by the heavy "wake" from the plows which lands on the pedestrian walk.
This makes such a difference for all the kids walking to and from school, and for residents who walk on a daily basis!
Thanks again, and let's keep it up!
Thanks, Neighbors. . .

Northland Neighbors thank you!
I just took a walk down to Harding and I only had to shovel one neighbors walk! Thanks so much to all who had snow blowers who helped out this weekend. Harding is close to the top of our street (on Madison) and it scares me to death to see kids walking in the street when it is slippery. The only place that wasn't shoveled was Northland Plaza. Does any one have a creative clue as to how to get this Realty company to understand that they are responsible for the sidewalks around their property not just the parking lot? I've called them and the city and gotten no where in the past so any input would be helpful. There is a big stretch that is impassable to walkers so they walk on Madison to get to Harding.

Once again it is difficult for my children to walk to school because of five homeowners on Hilliard. I saw an elderly woman attempting to traverse the mini hills on Hilliard between Arthur and Mars and that is unacceptable. I think the city has done a great job and the vast majority of homeowners and businesses have done a good job of clearing their snow but there are this year as every other year the same businesses and residents that refuse to shovel. We do have ordinances addressing snow removal, I'd like to see those ordinances enforced.
