It's not too late!

There are still a few community garden plots open in Webb, Cove and Kaufmann Parks. By signing up this year, you'll reserve your plot for the 2009 growing season. There is still time to plant some veggies, a pumpkin patch, garlic, or flowers. You can also just spend the rest of the season working the soil, getting it to where you want it.

The plots are 10 by 10 and cost $25 for the season. The money goes right back into the garden. This year we used the fees to purchase community tools, hoses, and wood chips for the pathways. There is a water hook up at each site, thanks to Mayor Fitzgerald and the hardworking people in the parks and water departments.

If you're interested, please go to leafcommunity.org and send us an email stating your interest in community gardening.

Thanks!
