Recycling News

Post by Shawna Shepherd »

I received this information in an email today. The city is getting greener every day.
FROM: CommRel@lakewoodoh.net
ATTENTION RECYCLERS:
BLUE BAG RECYCLE NOW INCLUDES ALL PLASTICS NUMBER 1-7 AND PLASTIC GROCERY BAGS

All plastics that have the recycling symbol #’s 1 thru 7, are now accepted in the City of Lakewood Curbside Blue Bag Mixed Recycling Program.

Also accepted are plastic grocery bags and disposable plastic beverage glasses (#’s 1 – 7)

Please add all rinsed-out plastic containers (bottles, food containers and tubs (such as margarine, yogurt, and cool whip containers), and disposable plastic glasses, that have recycling symbol #’s 1 – 7 to your blue bag mixed recycle! Your plastic grocery bags can also be included!

Recycling saves natural resources and disposal costs and provides revenue for the City!
