Boarded Up Alameda Avenue Home

Post by Natalie Schrimpf »

Does anyone know what happened to the house located at 1533 Alameda? (The house is a few houses from Franklin). Today I went by and all the windows were removed & boarded up! It doesn't appear that the clapboard siding was burned from a fire, but it's possible that the inside is gutted.

I feel so terrible for the owners. I hope they're alright. We live just down the street, and I wasn't at home if there were fire trucks recently. It's truly a sad site to behold on our street.

Does anyone know anything about the event and if the homeowners are okay?

There was a fire. I don't think there were any injuries...

No injuries, but a family of four including two little ones are out of a home. We are going to see what they need and set up a little material collection type thing for them if they wish. If it happens I will let the board know.

I hope they had insurance. Do they have a roof over their heads until they can find a new place?

I believe they are covered and they are staying with friends. Awaiting to hear if they need anything.
