Remember the Homeless

Post by Mark Crnolatas »

Just a small reminder if your so inclined, to remember the homeless.

We used to take a couple bags of clothes every so often to the Catholic Charities on W.32nd and Lorain, but recently our car has turned a bit too unreliable for that trip.

It's not a religious aimed group, it just happens to be one where you see the things you take be given out to those in need.

If anyone decides to make a trip to deliver some things you don't need or want anymore, let me know, we'd like to get a couple bags of things to those people, especially being winter.

Mark,

I think it to be a sublime blessing indeed that on Christmas Morning, you are placing thoughts for others first in your heart.

The Christ Child Society in Lakewood also does much good work. They received the bulk of my dear late mother's clothing after her death several years ago.

Speaking of homeless, Scripture says that the poor will always be with us. I would only suggest that there is another form of "homeless" to be considered as well. That would be those who are spiritually homeless, the spiritually tired, those in pain, those sick from affliction, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, those lonely, or made to feel out of place, or unwelcome in this materialistic and transitory world.

To all of those people, I would say that you are in good company. There was One before you born in a stable; despised, rejected, homeless...

It's easy to argue politics or theology. It's hard to argue with Love.

May that Love warm and comfort the hearts of a world gone wild.

Merry Christmas to all.

I always remember them Mark. Have done what I could and that is the right thing to do.

Gary - I have always believed that sometimes we miss the joy. Every day there are things that happen that make you feel joy. Sometimes that thing is large, sometimes very small.

We always concentrate on the bad things that happen.

Today I would like to request that everyone notice those small moments of joy that happen and relish them.

Blessings to all and Joyous Noel!

Merry Solstice.

Joy?

Yes indeed. Joy.

Thank you today for helping to provide more of it, Sharon!
