Eisel is very negative usually, and his comments make it clear where he intends to be in the pecking order should societal laws and morals fall apart as they have in other countries during various times in history and the present.

I get what Ivor is saying and see the line he feels was crossed.

But, I wouldn't drop out of the debate Ivor--your an artist-use your gift to stay involved and work against the fascists.

Screw these people and their flat world theories.

I'm confused. Wasn't the goal to eliminate name calling and negativity???

Well Brett, you got me.

However, the term "fascist" was not meant to be a derogatory label. Mr. Easle's right wing political leanings are consistent with fascist doctrine and therefore my intent was to make a truthful observation.

I'm not sure where Ivor's heritage is from, I'm guessing it is eastern European. People from Europe know a few things about ethnic hatred, fascism and ridiculous minds that produce bromides such as:

" Stop watching Al Jazeera and CNN. Most Americans will kick your a$$ when you tell them "You (US) trample over the hearts and hopes of the globe and gain riches and power for yourself and growing ego's"

"God loves all Americans (including the Ahteist) but He hates whiney arrogant europeans"

" Most Americans hate arrogant foreigners".

" Nobody gives a **** that you are from Europe".

"It is ok to love this country. Only arrogant europeans will hate you".

Brett, unfortunately there are a lot of people in the world that suffer from such small thinking. To make those remarks to a person from Europe was ignorant and insensitive and that's why I take Ivor's side. Such remarks are most definitely un-American.

The Observation deck is just a local blog so we aren't exactly changing the world here--but I believe that wherever fascism lives-it should not be tolerated or otherwise reasoned with.
